Description:

Task Geoscience currently has opportunities for sedimentologists and structural geologists to join the team at locations in the UK, USA and Australia.

Sedimentologists - qualified to MSc or PhD level with experience of fluvial, deep or shallow marine siliciclastic systems and/or carbonate environments.

Structural geologists - qualified to MSc or PhD level with experience of fold, fault and fracture characterisation and in-situ stress analysis. Working knowledge of stereographic projection techniques, 3D model building and rock mechanics desirable.

For each discipline, strong presentation and reporting skills and a knowledge of petrophysical interpretation techniques would be highly advantageous, as would previous experience of working with borehole images and/or core.

Applicants should be self-starters with a proven record of working to high standards and tight deadlines, with the motivation necessary to develop and grow these disciplines within Task Geoscience. A willingness to travel would be an advantage. Applicants will be required to demonstrate their eligibility to work in their chosen location.
